Character Sought
Character is further developed when students are given the opportunity to pursue personal growth beyond the classroom. Our rich and varied extracurricular programme encourages students to seek out challenges that build leadership, teamwork, resilience, and empathy. Through participation in clubs, performances, trips, volunteering, sports, and student leadership initiatives, students build the confidence and competence to apply their character learning in authentic settings.
A key example of this is our annual Community Day, where students are encouraged to embody the value of Community through various virtues—such as gratitude, cooperation, and kindness—by coming together to celebrate their own communities through education, games, and shared food. This day reinforces the importance of connection, appreciation, and belonging, and reminds students of the impact they can have when they act with character.
We also host Character competitions to motivate students to demonstrate the skills they’ve been developing. Activities such as Character Bingo reward achievement points for positive acts of Character, reinforcing these values in a fun and engaging way.

Through these three strands, we aim to create a school culture where students don’t just learn about character—they live it. By integrating character into every aspect of school life, we help students grow into young adults who are not only academically capable, but also kind, reflective, and ready to contribute meaningfully to society. Together, we thrive as a values-led community.
