This area will show all documents uploaded to the /docs/PTFA folder.

Documents in folders containing the word 'letter' or 'minute' are listed in the order they were uploaded, most recent upload at the top. Otherwise, documents are listed alphabetically.

The PTFA is The Beaconsfield School’s parent-teacher association. They are a very active and sociable group of parents that gets together every first Monday of the month to organise social and fundraising events for the school.

The primary aim of the PTFA is to raise funds for the school, to the benefit of all students whilst also encouraging a strong social agenda. Although we plan a number of tried and tested activities each year, we always seek to grow, adapt and keep things fresh, and we would like to extend a special welcome to those parents joining the school. Being a part of the PTFA provides a greater attachment and commitment to the school and finding out what’s going on is of real value (you certainly won’t get this level of detail from your children who tend to stop talking to you when the teen years hit)!

In recent years, the PTFA has raised funds for a new Film & Photography suite, laptops and software for the Sixth Form, visualisers, new flooring, new hall and stage curtains, interactive whiteboards, table tennis tables, picnic benches, gym equipment, awards and more. With your support, we really can make a difference.

Find out what's happening in school

By coming to PTFA meetings and/or supporting events you'll get to find out what's going on in and around the school from members of the Senior Leadership Team who always attend our monthly meetings, and share information from parents both old and new.

Attend our events; bring family and friends along too. Meet other like-minded parents and have fun while raising money to benefit all our students.

Ideas

We'd love to hear your own ideas on how we can improve our fundraising and make an even bigger difference to our school. Ideas may be new and on a grand scale, or may be the simplest of changes to an existing event, or anything in between. Your fresh insight and ideas will make the difference to our upcoming fundraising year.

Spend some time to help

If you can give a little of your time it will be very welcome. You can sign up for just an hour or sign up to run an event; the choice is yours. Alternatively you may prefer to volunteer for some admin support. There's something for everyone to do and experience really isn't required.

We use an online rota called Doodle and emails are sent out requesting help for short time slots at each event. Just see if you are free to join in and help us.

The Beaconsfield School PTFA can generate money simply from families shopping online at no extra cost to themselves. Simply join us on the following link www.easyfundraising.org.uk

When you're asked to choose your cause, select The Beaconsfield School PTFA.

When you shop the easyfundraising way with one of the 3,241 retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis, eBay and Tesco, they give a small percentage of what's been spent back to The Beaconsfield School PTFA to say thank you for shopping with them. We then add this to the funds raised from other events to benefit all students.
