Intent

The Intent of our Personal Development programme is to deliver a curriculum which is accessible to all and that will maximise the outcomes for every child so that they have a deep and meaningful understanding into their own identity as well as the identity of their surrounding community.  As a result of this they will become healthy, independent, and responsible members of a society who understand how they are developing personally and socially and give them confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. We provide our students with opportunities for them to learn about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society and play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community. At TBS we are committed to delivering statutory RSHE across a range of varying topics which enable our students to create a positive culture around issues of sexuality and relationships.

At TBS we are also committed to ensuring all students have access to impartial careers advice from third party agencies, support in school and access to employers who can advise students when considering their future options. To ensure we are providing a balanced careers programme, we link our careers guidance to the Gatsby Benchmarks

These will be linked into TBS core values: Respect, Responsibility, Empathy, Community and Hard work.
